Geneva boys basketball wins last two games

The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team is off to a good start in 2024. The Eagles entered the season ranked No. 8 in the TAPPS Texas Association Basketball Coaches poll and have lived up to the rankings so far.

Geneva is 6-0 this season, and after winning a tournament in their first weekend of play, the Eagles returned to the court last week and picked up a pair of wins.

The Eagles defeated San Antonio Christian last Thursday, 74-49, and then beat Gloria Deo on Friday, 75-40.

Geneva coach Julius McNeal said they are glad to finally get the season going.

“Getting to play against other teams instead of each other every day in practice is something our guys look forward in doing after a long off-season,” he said.

Against San Antonio Christian, Colton Lutz tallied 30 points, Jake Roberson scored 20 and Wyatt Bruss netted 16.

Against Gloria Deo, Colton Lutz dropped again led the team in scoring and netted 22 points, Wyatt Bruss added 17 and Jake Roberson finished with 16.
