THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold ribbon- cutting ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. for Anytime Fitness Fair Oaks Ranch, 9091 Fair Oaks Ranch Parkway; and 1:30 p.m. at Bella Vide at La Cantera, 4 Dominion Drive, Bldg. 3 suite 100.

NOVEMBER 14

FARM WOODLAND WALK from 7:3010:30 a.m. at Herff Farm. Discover the beauty of fall leaves, learn to identify trees, and explore the dynamics of the Cibolo Creek riparian corridor. Breakfast tacos will be provided with hot coffee. Tickets available: cibolo.org.

BOERNE AREA DEMOCRATS will host guest speaker Trey Martinez, currently serving in the Texas House of Representatives, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Longhorn Café in Boerne, 369 E. Esser Road. Martinez will provide an analysis of the 2024 election results. Meeting is open to the public.

NOVEMBER 15

FREE SEO WORKSHOP: Dominate Google maps and get your business ranked, with this free SEO workshop hosted by La Jolla Digital Agency from 2-4 p.m. at the chamber office, 121 S. Main St. Learn how to transform your Google Business profile and dominate local search results.

MOVIE IN THE PARK: Come watch “ Twisters” free beginning at 7 p.m. in this Boerne Parks and Rec Department offering at Main Plaza, 100 N. Main St. These free, family- friendly screenings are a great time for everyone. Come out early for some pre-movie fun. Bring blankets, chairs, and snacks and enjoy some free entertainment before the movie.

NOVEMBER 16

GENEOLOGICAL SOCIETY: Nancy Brennan and Kathy Totten, genealogy general and registrar of the National Society of Huguenots, will discuss “Huguenot immigration to America” from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Heath Public Library community room, 451 N. Main St.

NEST OPEN HOUSE: Meet the Nest staff, learn about the curriculum and schedules offered, and tour the classroom cottages between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at The Nest’s open house, 33 Herff Road.

NOVEMBER 17

AFTERNOON TEA PARTY: Only two spots remain in the Wonderland Factory’s Afternoon Tea Party, which starts at 2:30 p.m. at 137 Industrial Drive. CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL by Boerne Love. This family-friendly event runs 3-6 p.m. and will include visits with Santa, letter writing to Santa, free hot chocolate, a special Christmas dance lesson, local vendors and more. Hosted at the Boerne Post Haus, 615 S. Main St. Event is free and open to the community, offering a festive way to celebrate the holiday sea son. Vendor still being accepted. Christmas parade was really sad , all trucks , no marching band , no floats ☹️how embarrassing for Boerne. EDITOR'S NOTE: The city's annual Weihnachts Parade is December 7, the Saturday after "Dickens on Main" weekend.
