Boerne wins big, Lexington defeats Comfort

Only the Boerne High and Comfort football teams were in action Friday night and were involved in lopsided games, with Boerne winning big and Comfort getting soundly defeated.

Boerne High

Boerne High beats McCollum 50-0. The Hounds host Kerrville Tivy Friday and a win by Boerne secures second place and guarantees a home playoff game.

The Greyhounds are 4-1 in district and 6-3 overall. They've won four straight.

Comfort

Lexington defeats Comfort, 62-0. Friday's loss eliminates the Cats from playoff contention.

The Bobcats are 2-6 overall and 0-3 in district. They wrap up their 2024 season Friday on the road at Blanco.

Boerne Champion

Champion played one of its best football games of the season as the Chargers defeat Wagner Thursday at Rutledge Stadium, 31-26. Brogan Dempsey had three TD catches for Champion which improves to 2-4 in district and 5-4 overall. They host Pieper next Thursday.

Geneva School of Boerne

The Eagles were off Friday and visit John Paul II in Corpus Christi. A win by Geneva gives them a home playoff game to start the postseason.
