Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection set Nov. 18-25

BOERNE — Operation Christmas Child’s shoebox collection will take place in the Boerne area Nov. 18-25 with a dropoff box located at St. John Lutheran Church, 315 Rosewood Ave. in Boerne.

Shoeboxes in small quantities suitable for filling are available for free from St. John Lutheran Church in Boerne, one of five Hill Country area collection sites.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers shoeboxes filled with toys, personal hygiene items and school supplies to children around the world as a tangible expression of God’s love through the hands of local partners, to share to children around the world that may be in crisis due to war or disasters, in hard-to-reach places, or orphaned.

Shoebox drop-off hours at St. John Lutheran Church are:

Monday, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to noon.

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1:30-5 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2-6 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 21, 12:30-6 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 24, 1-3 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 25, 8-10 a.m.
