Boerne High was on the road last Friday for a tough match against district leading Pieper in a 26-5A volleyball contest.
Pieper won the match in three sets to close out their regular season and also secured the district title in the process.
The Lady Greyhounds are 21-14 overall and 6-9 in district heading into Tuesday’s regular-season finale at home against New Braunfels. Pieper, New Braunfels, Champion and Smithson Valley will represent 26-5A once the postseason starts.
Based on enrollment, Smithson Valley and New Braunfels will go big school or DI, while Champion and Pieper will go into the DII bracket or small school.
Kerrville Tivy finished fifth and BHS was sixth in the 26-5A standings under firstyear coach Staci Lawrence.
