LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT
March 16
7:31 a.m., Herff and River roads- A driver was detained during a traffic stop, and dispatch reported the “picture from Kerr was a match.” No further explanation was provided.
9:20 a.m., 200 block Champion Blvd.- A man reported there was a homeless camp past the easement at the end of Champion Boulevard with tents. Officers found no homeless camp.
12:01 p.m., 625 N. Main St.- A Town & Country employee thought a resident had filed a report against her, and she wanted to follow up. No report had been generated.
3:18 p.m., 100 block Telford- The president of the homeowners’ association was upset the emergency gate between the Boerne Heights and Regent Park neighborhoods was left open. The city manager had ordered it to stay open because it wasn’t functioning properly.
5:50 p.m., 400 block Schryver- A woman reported kids egged her garage door. She didn’t want to file a report but just wanted to let officers know.
6:35 p.m., 1000 Grand- An employee reported another employee assaulted a resident.
7:56 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A man in his 20s was arrested after he tried to get into the gaming cabinets at Walmart with a screwdriver.
Officers also conducted 11 security checks, made 23 traffic stops, assisted the public 23 times, removed four traffic hazards and worked four false alarms and three non-injury accidents.
March 17
12:08 a.m., 200 block Mustang Run- A woman requested extra patrols of her neighborhood because she thought kids were playing ding dong ditch.
7:02 a.m., 1234 S. Main St.- A 25-year-old woman was found passed out in a bathroom at Guadalajara Mexican Grill.
10:06 a.m., 200 block Mustang Run- A woman was concerned after she saw a very upset woman on her Ring camera the night before. She said a black car then circled her house.
3:49 p.m., 100 City Lake- An older man in a maroon Toyota SUV was harassing young women at the lake.
6:55 p.m., 35000 block I-10 E.- A man was arrested after he was found slumped over on his steering wheel.
Officers also conducted 20 security checks, made 17 traffic stops, assisted the public 27 times, removed three traffic hazards and worked seven false alarms, two non-injury accidents, two animal calls and two reckless drivers.
March 18
2:36 a.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.
5:55 a.m., 625 N. Main St.- A man claimed he was assaulted by staff at Town & Country Nursing Home.
6:29 a.m., 112 Herff Rd.- A boxer showed up in the lobby, but he was a friendly pup.
6:32 a.m., 100 block Destiny- A teenager called officers, saying his mom and dad were fighting before his father shot his mom. He said he possibly heard more gunshots. Officers couldn’t locate the incident or found no evidence an incident occurred.
12:06 p.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.- A man wanted to know how someone might go about getting a driver’s license if they have a warrant for their arrest.
7:40 p.m., 300 block W. Highland Dr.- A woman wanted advice about what to do after her ex-husband stole her income tax return from last year.
11:20 p.m., 100 block Whisper Way- A woman was outside her house and reported hearing a neighbor beating his wife, and she could hear the wife crying. The woman went inside because she was scared. Officers also conducted 34 security checks, made 33 traffic stops, assisted the public 24 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked two false alarms, three non-injury accidents and one animal call.

March 16
9:01 a.m., 400 block FM 3351 N.- A man reported a vehicle going the opposite direction struck his mirror. He pulled over to handle it, but the other driver kept going.
11:06 a.m., 10 block Green Cedar- a man reported a mechanic friend of his picked up his vehicle and began performing unauthorized work.
10:32 p.m., 522 MM I-10 E.- A deputy spotted a sport bike speeding over 100 miles per hour on the interstate. When a deputy pulled him over, he didn’t have a license, and his bike was towed. 11:51 p.m., 300 block Marquardt
11:51 p.m., 300 block Marquardt Rd.- A woman said her husband assaulted her after he’d been drinking, and she thought her wrist might have been broken.
Deputies also conducted as security check, made 11 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, served a warrant and worked two false alarms and five non-injury accidents.
March 17
4:38 a.m., 540 MM I-10 W.- A truck towing a motor home was spotted going the wrong way in the westbound lanes of the interstate. Eventually they corrected themselves.
4:52 a.m., 100 block FM 3351 S.- A woman was home with her boyfriend and nephew when she thought she heard people on her roof trying to break in. She called back and said she thought someone made it into the house, but she hung up shortly after and didn’t answer when deputies called back. Then she called back around 6:17 a.m. and said her nephew was off his meds and trying to burn her house down. She wanted him removed.
1:39 p.m., 200 block River Trail- A boy reported his stepfather showed up to take his little brother, pushing their mother down before he left. Deputies located the man.
4:02 p.m., 200 block River Trail- A woman reported her neighbor may have been violating the terms of his parole by drinking. She noted his 2-year-old and 8-year-old children were in the house.
5:54 p.m., 35000 block I-10 E.- A man who stole a full shopping cart of items from Home Depot led deputies on a chase through the treacherous Bandera Road intersections. They tracked him to Chili’s, then Starbucks, then H-E-B and then the Shell station. It’s unclear if they ever found him, but he abandoned the cart of stolen goods in the parking lot of Chili’s.
10:12 p.m., 534 MM I-10 E.- A driver was arrested during a traffic stop.
Deputies also made 20 traffic stops, assisted the public 15 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked one false alarm, four animal calls and three reckless drivers.
March 18
2:35 a.m., 100 block Nolina- A woman reported her husband was throwing furniture and other objects at her and behaving “extremely violent.” Despite the woman’s reports and her stating he had access to weapons such as an assault rifle, deputies found the husband wasn’t drunk and didn’t assault anyone. “He was just upset and left location.”
10:32 a.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man wanted to know where his cellphone was being held. It was at the front desk of the sheriff’s office waiting for him.
2:59 p.m., Esser and Blanco roads- Three teenagers were “juking” cars in the roadway.
5:24 p.m., 200 block Upper Cibolo Creek Rd.- A woman reported her sister flipped her Jeep on the road, but her sister was able to get out of the vehicle and uninjured.
8:38 p.m., FM 1888 and Maenius Road- Two block cows took to the street but remained elusive to deputies who couldn’t spot them. A couple hours later, the creeping cows were reported as contained, and someone was working on fixing their fence.
Deputies also made 12 traffic stops, assisted the public 20 times and worked two false alarms, one non-injury accident, four animal calls and four reckless drivers.
