Three Greyhounds selected to play in S.A. All-Star football game

Three Boerne High football players have been selected to play in the 2025 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game scheduled for Jan. 11 in the Alamodome at 5 p.m.

Boerne seniors Logan Fritcher, Braden Bays and Jaxon Baize will suit up for Team Blue as they match up against Team White.

A total of 117 students from 68 high schools representing 37 school districts will participate in the game.

Pieper head football coach Nick Rogers will lead Team White, and Eddie Salas from Harlan will coach Team Blue.

Salas is a former assistant football coach at Boerne High and Boerne Champion. He was also the assistant coach on the 2007 Greyhounds softball team that won a 4A state title.

Fritcher will play on the offensive line, Bays will line up on the defensive line and Baize is listed as an athlete and can play offense or defense.

Baize is currently starting on defense for the Greyhounds but was their starting quarterback during the 2022 season when the Hounds played for the 4A DI state title at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
