The Boerne High boys varsity golf team recently competed at the 28-4A tournament at the Buckhorn course in Comfort and the boys won this year’s district title.
Only the top two teams from each district head to regionals scheduled for April 18-19 at The Club at Colony Creek in Victoria.
The BHS boys shot rounds of 313 and 307 for a 620 to beat second-place Fredericksburg by 19 strokes (639-325,314).
For the Greyhounds, Price Hill shot rounds of 78 and 69 for a 147 that earned him second place individually, Braden Baize finished fifth overall with rounds of 75 and 76 for a 151, Jaxon Baize recorded rounds of 73 and 83 for a 156 that placed him ninth, Colton Hoegemeyer scored an 89 and 79 for a 168 that placed him 17th, while Cole Gentry toured the course in 172 strokes with rounds of 87 and 85.
Varsity Girls
The Boerne High girls team also competed at district and finished fourth with rounds of 385 and 365 for a 750 to end their season.
The BHS girls will graduate two seniors, Callie Lane and Teghan Trulove.
