So far in the new year, the Boerne High boys basketball team has been on the road where they’ve done well.
The Greyhounds beat YMLA last Tuesday and on Friday they were at San Antonio Christian and picked up another road win.
BHS sacked SACS, 60-53, and improves to 17-6 overall. The road show continues Tuesday for the Hounds who visit Pearsall. After that, Boerne opens district play and is on the road again at Canyon Lake.
The Greyhounds had three players finish in double figures after Devin Styles continues to play well and dropped in 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting, while Houston Hendrix added 15 points and Trevor Agarwal netted 10.
Hendrix went to the line 14 times and made 9 of his free throws and he also led the team on the boards after grabbing 10 rebounds to make it a double-double.
Barrett Pape connected on two 3s and scored 7 points, Preston Thompson sank a pair of 3-pointers and tallied 6 points and Koen Wolff chipped in with 4 points.
Styles snagged 9 rebounds, Hendrix dished out 4 assists, Agarwal had 3 assists, while Josh Hines and Thompson came up with 2 steals each.
