The Boerne High Cheer team traveled to Ft. Worth to compete in the annual UIL Spirit State Championships.
The UIL Spirit State Championship focuses on the traditional gameday role cheerleaders have on the sideline of different sporting events. At the UIL Spirit State Championships, schools competed in three categories: crowd leading, fight song and band chant. The Boerne cheerleaders came back with their highest placing to date after they were 24th out of 91 teams competing in 4A-DI.
“We’re so proud of these girls,” said coach Kimberly Puckett.
