Boerne High, Boerne Champion clash again in water polo

Boerne High, Boerne Champion clash again in water polo

The Boerne Champion and Boerne High water polo teams met for their second- round district contest and this time the match was held in Boerne.

The Greyhounds and Chargers played at the city of Boerne pool instead of driving to the Northside Aquatic Center where they usually play.

Champion won both matches Thursday and to take the season series over BHS.

The Lady Chargers defeated the Lady Greyhounds, 14-1, and the Champion boys won 16-9.

BHS also played Clark on Thursday in Boerne as part of their district schedule. For results of that match be sure to look in the Boerne Star.

Champion

After Thursday, the Champion boys are 17-4 overall and 8-0 in district. They close out the regular season Saturday with matches against Marshall and Clark at Northside.

The Champion girls are 17-5 overall and 7-1 in district. The Lady Chargers also tangle with Marshall and Clark Saturday.

The Lady Chargers are currently tied for first with Brandeis and split their two matches. If they have the same record when the regular season ends, they’ll meet Oct. 5, to break the tie.

Boerne High

The Boerne boys are 2-6 in district and 2-12 overall. They’ll close out the regular season Saturday against Health Careers.

The Lady Greyhounds are 0-8 in district and 0-14 overall and they’ll also play Saturday vs. Health Careers to conclude their season.
