TASTE OF COMFORT: From 5:30-9 p.m., the tastes and treasures of the Hill Country will be featured during Taste Of Comfort, being held at the Von Erich Ranch, 1637 FM 473 in Boerne. INSPIRATION GARDEN FALL Series: Join the third session of free mini-workshops, led by organic gardening experts, from 10-10:30 a.m. during the second and fourth weekend of the month, at the Farmers Market at Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road. This session will focus on root crops.
ANNUAL BOERNE BIERFEST: Use your commemorative stein to sample from more than 30 of the best craft breweries in Texas and beyond from noon to 6 p.m. at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road. BierFest also offers great food, live music, traditional feats of strength, art displays and a live auction. Proceeds benefiting Hill Country Council for the Arts. Tickets start at $30.
FIRST FALL FESTIVAL: Pure County BBQ & Grill is hosting its first-ever Fall Festival from 4-9 p.m. at its 1481 S. Main St. location. Event features fall photo setup, pie-eating contest, autumn arts and crafts, and other autumn festivities.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, presented by Drug Free Comfort, is set for 6-8 p.m. at Comfort Park. Invited guests include Kendall County Sheriff’s officers, Comfort Volunteer Fire Department team and school resource officers. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish for a community potluck dinner. TEA PARTY MEETING: The Kendall County Tea Party will host its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Heath Public library, 451 N. Main St. Features an “Obsessed With Texas” author panel with participating guest authors, and a Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators tent full of children’s book.
