SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High kicked off the 2022 girls soccer season last weekend at the Northside ISD Tournament.

The Lady Hounds played three matches and start the year unbeaten after they won two matches and tied in another.

BHS is 2-0-1 overall and visits Pleasanton Tuesday before playing in the Southwest ISD tourney this coming weekend.

The Lady Greyhounds opened on Thursday night with a 7-2 win against Southwest.

Kylie Combs turned in a hat trick in the first match of the season after she tallied 3 goals, while Kassie Lozano, Madeline Davis, Hannah Bowen and A’Marie Ramirez all netted single goals.

Gigi Hernandez had a hat trick in the assists department after she recorded 3 assists, while Combs and Katie Spiekerman both had single assists.

BHS returned on Friday and picked up a 4-1 win at Gus Stadium over San Antonio Christian.

Kylie Combs found the back of the net twice, while Madeline Davis and Hannah Bowen both scored single goals.

Davis, Gigi Hernandez and Combs all recorded single assists as three of the four goals were assisted.

Boerne’s only tie came against 6A Harlan after the teams scored two goals apiece on Saturday at noon.

Lily Griffith and Taylor Hudson both tallied single goals, while Gigi Hernandez picked up an assist.

“We had a good tournament,” head coach Jeremy Shannon said.
