County earmarks $1 mill for Herff-Esser fix

Boerne motorists are well aware of — and avoid, whenever possible — the problematic Herff Road-Esser Road intersection, deemed the most congested intersection in the county.

The city of Boerne knows it, the Texas Department of Transportation knows it and the Kendall County Commissioners Court knows it.

Commissioners on Monday voted to adopt a resolution supporting a proposed TxDOT Highway 46 improvement project with $1 million in its 2024-25 budget earmarked for funding for the intersection improvement project.
