Boerne ISD hosts memorial workout at stadium

BOERNE — Boerne Independent School District will host a 9-11 Memorial Workout to honor the fallen heroes of Sept. 11, 2001.

Participants will gather at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Boerne ISD Field House, 1 Greyhound Lane, with the workout set to begin at 6:30 a.m.

First responders in Kendall County, Boerne ISD students and employees and community members will be participating in a challenging and meaningful workout at Boerne ISD Stadium, inspired by the 110 floors of the Twin Towers.

Each step “is taken in tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those affected by the events of 9/11,” Boerne ISD officials said.

This event is designed to remember and honor the heroes of 9/11 through physical and mental challenge, while fostering a sense of unity and solidarity among participants.
