THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. for August House Fine Jewelry Boutique, 23718 W. I-10, and at 1:30 p.m. for Agape Advocates in the Chamber’s boardroom, 121 S. Main St.

SEPTEMBER 6

FAMILY NIGHT HIKE at Cibolo Nature Center, a night hike that begins at 7:30 p.m. for families that gives all a chance to learn and enjoy The Cibolo. Parents, grandparents and the kids are all welcome. Cost is $30 per family.

SEPTEMBER 7

ALL THINGS SEEDS: Join an informative and engaging event from 10:30 a.m. to noon that combines seed saving, seed exchange and seed propagation at Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road. Perfect for gardeners of all levels; bring seeds to exchange with others, and learn more about sustainable gardening practices. Tickets are $15 and available at: cibolo.org.

TUG THE TRUCK: Support your local first responders at the fourth annual Tug the Truck event, hosted by 100 Club of Kendall County. Teams of 10 will compete in the fire truck pull, with teams of three for the police car push. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 8:15 a.m. at the Black Rifle Coffee Company, 101 S. Main St. Sign up today at: www. raceentry.com.

BLOCK PARTY HOSTED by Black Rifle Coffee Company. Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy live music, great food and drink, as well as a cool car show in this old-fashioned neighborhood block party at Black Rifle Coffee Company on East San Antonio Avenue.

UPCOMING EVENTS SEPTEMBER 26

CHAMPION HOMECOMING TAILGATE event from 6-8 p.m. in support of Junior Varsity Games. There will be food trucks, music and games for kids of all ages to enjoy.

SEPTEMBER 27-28

VINTAGE FLEA MARKET at 8th Street Market in Comfort. More than 20 vendors offer goods ranging from antiques, art, artisans to food and wine. A great family-friendly event.

OCTOBER 1

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT presented by Drug Free Comfort. This event runs 6-8 p.m. at Comfort Park. Guests will include Kendall County Sheriff’s officers, Comfort Volunteer Fire Department Team and school resource officers. This will be a community potluck, so those planning to attend are asked to bring a dish.
