BOERNE — Boerne ISD has launched a new safety and security initiative called the Empowered Partner Program, designed to make its students safe within their community.
The Empowered Partner Program partners with local businesses and organizations to create “safe zones” where students can seek help if they need assistance.
These partners are easily identifiable because they will have an Empowered Partner sticker on their door or window of their location.
Boerne area businesses already signed up and participating include: 28 Songs, 110 Market Ave.; Das Greenhaus, 7 Upper Balcones Road; Fair Oaks Emergency Room, 27638 Interstate 10, Boerne; Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club, 7900 Fair Oaks Parkway in Fair Oaks Ranch; Hill Country Animal League, 924 N. Main St.; Hill Country Pregnancy Center, 439 Fabra St.; Nature’s Presence, 807 N. Main St.; The Bank and Trust, 118 W. Bandera Road; Boerne Bookshop, 153 S. Main St. (the Richter building) suite 120; The Center, 17 Old San Antonio Road; and the Boerne YMCA, 820 Adler Road.
“BISD believes that by working together as a community, we can offer our children a network of caring adults who are always ready to help,” said Bryan Benway, BISD communications director. “The Empowered Partner Program is just one more way BISD is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child, every day.”
