Staci Lawrence picked up her first win as the Greyhound volleyball coach Tuesday after Boerne High defeated Stevens in five sets. The Lady Hounds claimed the victory, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-10, at Paul Taylor Field House. BHS starts the year at 1-0 and played in the Northside Tournament this weekend.
Calynn Ramos turned in a solid all-around match and finished with 13 assists, 5 kills, 2 aces and 22 digs, Ava Rocchio added 8 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks, while Lauren Magnus tallied 3 aces and 11 assists.
After play at the NS tournament this weekend, Boerne High hosts Marshall Tuesday for its home opener and is entered in the SAISD tourney next weekend.
