Area Crime Reports

LAW ENFORCEMENT: The following is a brief recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department, Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Boerne Police Department 

August 7 

12:14 a.m., 100 block of W San Antonio Road — A field sobriety test was conducted on a female driver. The driver’s father came to the scene and took possession of her vehicle. 

2:21 a.m., 100 block of Herff Road — A caller was concerned about an individual in the parking lot who appeared to be looking in the window of another vehicle. It was found that the individual was with a security company. 

3:27 a.m., 100 block of Calk Lane — A caller reported that someone was wandering around with a flashlight. 

11:22 a.m., 33000 block of E. Interstate 10 — A trash truck was reported to be on fire. Boerne FD was called to the location and extinguished the fire. 

August 8 

7:17 p.m., 800 block of W. San Antonio Road — A caller was concerned about a male in an older vehicle who was parking in front of some mailboxes and speaking with people. Law enforcement located the vehicle and found he was visiting relatives. 

9:32 p.m., 31000 block of W. I-10 — An individual reported one of the show vehicles appeared to be turned on or tampered with. 

11:28 p.m., Tilbury Boulevard/Regent Drive — A caller reported all the neighborhood dogs were barking at someone walking in the area with a flashlight. Turns out the individual was a worker with Spectrum. 

11:40 p.m., 100 block of Landa Street — A woman requested assistance with getting a bat out of her house. 

August 9 

1:44 a.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street —A caller reported a male who was intoxicated and high at the location. Law enforcement came to the location and the male was detained. 

12:13 p.m., 400 block of Rosewood Avenue — A caller reported finding marijuana and pipes in a bag in the woods. 

2:04 p.m., 100 block of Staffel Road — A caller reported both of his license plates had been stolen. The caller was unsure when or where they had been stolen. 

3:28 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street — A caller reported a woman at the location had tried stealing a bottle of alcohol. 

August 10 

1:47 p.m., 1500 block of S. Main Street — A caller reported a male had been looking at young girls and taking photos. The business asked the male to leave but he was still in the parking lot.  

3:12 p.m., 1300 S. Main Street — A caller reported harassment issues between two employees. 

9:23 p.m., 100 block of City Park — A caller reported some people at the soccer fields moved one of the light poles and turned it on. 

August 11 

10:30 p.m., mile marker 530 W. I-10 — A male was taken to jail after a traffic stop. 

11:28 p.m., 600 block of N. Main Street — Boerne FD was contacted for a fire. They arrived and found smoke everywhere. All residents were evacuated from the location. Bergheim FD and Sisterdale FD were also called to the scene. 

August 12 

11:23 a.m., 1000 block of Grand Boulevard — A caller reported she had been sexually assaulted earlier that day. A male was detained later that day. 

12:12 p.m., 300 block of Esser Road — A caller reported a male was yelling and threatening the caller an hour earlier. 

2:29 p.m., 1300 block of River Road — A woman reported to be drunk was walking around the location. EMS came to the location as the woman had fallen unconscious. The woman was then taken into custody and detained. 

5:21 p.m., 400 block W. Bandera Road — A caller reported a male at the location who was yelling at her. 

August 13 

7:25 a.m., 33000 block of W. I-10 — A caller reported his license plates were stolen. 

8:14 a.m., 100 block of W. Bandera Road — A caller reported that an instance of fraud had occurred around five weeks earlier and they had video surveillance. 

10:53 a.m., 200 block of Woods of Boerne — A caller reported her vehicle had been vandalized while parked in front of her house. 

2:29 p.m., 31000 block of I-10 – A woman came in to report an item that had been stolen. The caller suspected it was at her work. 

Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department 

August 5 

— A suspicious circumstance was reported at the 32000 block of Burnt Cedar West Street. Law enforcement did a perimeter check and found everything was OK. 

— Two men were reported to be yelling at a child riding his bike in the 8000 block of Jodhpur Lane. 

— A theft was reported in the 28000 block of Heritage Trail. 

— An animal call was made for the Raintree Woods/Alydar Circle area for a dead raccoon. Animal Control was unable to locate the carcass. 

August 6 

— Animal control was called about a goat that had gotten stuck in a fence. The animal control officer was able to free the goat’s head, and the creature happily ran off.  

— A deer was reported to be stuck in the fence in the 8000 block of Rolling Acres Trail. The animal control officer freed the deer, who joined his goat friend in freedom. 

— A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 28000 block of Royal Ascot Drive. Law enforcement investigated the situation but were unable to locate the vehicle. 

August 7 

Law enforcement was contacted after someone had toilet papered someone’s house in the 9000 block of Jodphur. 

— A trailer was reported to be parked on the 29000 block of Duberry Ridge. Officers contacted the owner of the trailer and explained they were violating city ordinance. 

— A burglary was reported in the 7000 block of Rocking Horse Lane. 

— A driver was going the wrong way in the 9000 block of Fair Oaks Parkway. A citation was issued to the driver. 

August 8 

A vehicle with its window open was reported in the 28000 block of Woodridge. Law enforcement located the owner of the vehicle and found everything was in order. 

— An instance of criminal mischief was reported in the 29000 block of Red Bud Hill. 

— A horse had made a getaway in the 31000 block of Post Oak Trail. When animal control arrived, the horse had returned. 

— A loose dog was reported in the 7000 block of Pimlico Lane. Unfortunately, animal control was unable to locate the dog. 

August 9 

— A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 7000 block of Battle Intense. Law enforcement checked out the vehicle and found everything was OK. 

— A suspicious person was reported in the 8000 block of High Cliff Drive. An officer spoke with the individual and found everything was in order. 

— A caller reported two males going door to door in the 8000 block of Point Given Circle. The caller said they were being pushy. 

August 10 

— A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Fair Oaks Parkway and Hansel Drive area. It was found to be a law enforcement vehicle that the caller described as “freaking” them out. 

— A loose horse had gotten away in the Pimlico Lane/Aqueduct area. Law enforcement looked but were unable to locate the horse. 

— A male was reported to be standing outside the police department (at 7000 block of Dietz Elkhorn Road). 

— Terroristic threats were reported in the 8000 block of Raintree Hill. 

— An assault was reported in the 8000 block of Raintree Hill. 

August 11 

— Four juveniles were reported to be in the 29000 block of Terra Vista. They were detained but released into the custody of their parents. 

— A fire was initially reported in the 8000 block of Avator Circle. When they arrived at the scene, it was found that there was no fire. 

— A theft was reported in the 29000 block of Fairview Place. 

— A loose dog was reported in the 30000 block of Valley Run. Law enforcement tried looking for the dog but were unable to locate it. 

Kendall County Sheriff’s Department 

August 7 

12:38 a.m., 100 block of Highway 87 — A male was pulled over for a traffic stop. He was detained and his vehicle was taken by a tow truck. 

8:14 a.m., 1100 block of Highway 87 — A Border Patrol agent informed officers about a vehicle travelling on the interstate that was suspected of carrying illegal immigrants. 

10:21 a.m., at Winchester/FM 3351 — A suspicious vehicle was reportedly in the parking lot. The caller said the vehicle appeared to be run down, with its windows blacked out and no license plates. 

10:56 a.m., 100 block of Timber Mountain Drive — A caller reported he was scammed out of $4,700 on Facebook Marketplace. 

August 8 

9:03 a.m., on Ernst Road — A vehicle was reportedly damaged earlier in the week. 

11:12 a.m., 800 block of FM 289 — A caller reported someone was dumping trash on a property across the road from them. 

1:45 p.m., 400 block of Waring-Welfare Road — A caller reported a fire had gotten out of control in a heavily wooded area. Comfort FD and Waring FD responded to the scene. 

9:24 p.m., 2200 block Guadalupe Bend — A woman reported a snake was in her tanning bed and requested assistance. 

August 9 

7:37 a.m., 100 block Wollschlaeger Drive — A caller reported he had trapped a raccoon and needed assistance dealing with it. 

9:58 a.m., 100 block of Ulmus Road — A resident reported her neighbor had a gun that could shoot a substance that smelled like poison. 

5:19 p.m., 31000 block of W I-10 — An employee reported a customer who was threatening not to pay for a product. 

August 10 

8:52 a.m., 40 block of Ranger Creek Roa10 A caller reported hearing a loud noise every ten to 15 seconds during the previous 30 minutes. The caller said it sounded like an explosion was going off. 

1:20 p.m., 1000 block of Desert Gold — A caller reported a horse had fallen and injured itself in front of the caller’s property. 

1:46 p.m., 800 block of FM 289 — A caller reported their vehicle was stolen during the night. 

8:13 p.m., 400 block Meadow Lane — A caller reported an individual was driving around egging people’s cars. 

9:34 p.m., 1000 block of S Highway 87 — An employee reported someone at the location who was drinking. 

August 11 

12:46 p.m., on Alex Circle — A caller reported his wife’s debit card information was stolen and was being used in the Austin area. 

12:45 p.m., 100 block of Sharon Drive — A caller reported she was frequently seeing a suspicious vehicle two days earlier. The caller said she had just seen the vehicle and the vehicle took off down the road. 

7:57 p.m., 900 block of FM 1376 — Five to seven goats were seen making their way into town for dinner. 

August 12 

7:59 a.m., mile marker 539 W. I-10 — A vehicle was reportedly going almost 100 mph on the interstate. The vehicle drove into Kerr County, who assisted with stopping the driver and detaining them. 

8:50 a.m., 800 block of High Street — A caller reported a male was trespassing and had moved into a vacant home over the weekend. 

10:43 a.m., 100 block of S. FM 3351 — A caller reported a donkey had escaped and chosen the wild option of eating some grass. 

10:57 a.m., 32000 block of I-10 — A caller reported electric panels had been broken into and wires had been cut. 

August 13 

8:17 a.m., mile marker 529 E. I-10 — A truck’s cab was reported to be on fire. The driver was able to safely get out of the vehicle. 

3:05 p.m., mile marker 539 E. I-10 — A caller reported a vehicle had veered off the road and struck a guardrail. 

3:33 p.m., 100 block of Hidden Oaks Circle — A caller reported her ID had been stolen. 

5:52 p.m., 600 block of Faltin Street — A caller reported someone made threats in her class the previous day and requested additional patrol.
