INSPIRATION GARDEN FALL Series begins. Come join the opening session of this series of free mini-workshops, led by organic gardening experts. BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring an instrument and play along or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural at 102 City Park Road. The music runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is a free event with donations welcome.

KENDALL COUNTY HISTORICAL Commission presents Early Texas Botanists of the 19th Century. Lonnie Childs, who serves on the Board of Directors of the Gillespie County Historical Society, will take attendees on a journey back to the days of the settlement of the Hill Country. NONPROFIT DAY PRCLOMATION: Mayor Ritchie releases a proclamation declaring Aug. 17 "Boerne Nonprofit Day." All non-profit chamber members in the Boerne area are invited to come together and celebrate each other and their successes. This event will be at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 447 N. Main St.

ADULT NIGHT HIKE at Cibolo Nature Center. The Cibolo Nature Center hosts trail hikes at sunset! Night hikes for adults are longer hikes, using unfamiliar trails. MOONDANCE OUTDOOR CONCERT Series continues featuring Trey Gonzalez, at Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road. This is a family-friendly outdoor concert series supporting local musicians. Bring chairs, picnic blankets, cushions, beer, food and ice chests. A food truck will also be on site. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $15 per person. 12 years old and under are free.
RAISED BED GARDENING Workshop. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this class is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to create and maintain a thriving raised bed garden.
