The Boerne Little League Majors All-Star Team defeated Louisiana Tuesday in Waco and qualified for this year's Little League World Series that is held annual in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Lousiana was leading 3-0 after two innings but Boerne scored 6 runs in the fourth thanks in part to a grand slam by Doc Mogford.
Lousiana scored all three of its runs in the second and Boerne scored all its runs in the fourth.
Julian Hurst pitched a great game for Boerne and fanned 10 batters before leaving the game because he had reached his pitch limit. Mogford came in and finished out the game by retiring the last two batters with a strikeout and a ground out.
