Geneva boys posts 3-2 mark at tourney

The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team placed second in the Hill Country Classic Tournament over the Christmas break.

The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team placed second in the Hill Country Classic Tournament over the Christmas break.

The Eagles helped to co-host the event with the girls team and the boys went 3-2 in the tournament and finished second in their division.

Geneva posted wins over Sugar Land Logos Prep, 56-32, Temple Holy Trinity, 59-42, and Willow Park Trinity Christian, 66-60.

Geneva’s two loses came at the hands of Austin Veritas, 62-62 and 52-42. Veritas went on to win the tournament and will be a district opponent next year when the Eagle move down to the TAPPS 4A level.

Geneva’s Colton Lutz and Aiden Christal were selected on the All-Tournament Team.

The Eagles ended the tournament with a record of 10-10 and are 0-2 in district.
