BISD puts students to work, with pay, during summer

BOERNE — The Boerne Independent School District’s summer internship program offers paid work experience for nearly 20 high school students.

During the summer, BISD employs 17 interns, 11 in maintenance and six in technology. The students apply for the positions and complete an interview process prior to being hired.

The technology intern job duties include resetting devices, setting up new incoming iPads and Chromebooks, repairing devices, and more. Maintenance interns assist with moving furniture, interior and exterior painting, and more.
