Lady Greyhounds have five named all-district in softball

Boerne High had five softball players named all-district after their performances during the 2024 season.

Senior Taylor Wilson was the only Lady Greyhound on the 27-4A first team. Wilson was also the only senior on the 2024 Boerne High squad and will play at Texas State University starting this fall.

Junior Ava Renteria and sophomore Riley Partin landed on the second team, while freshman Elizabeth Thornton and junior Jesseanna Aguirre were both named honorable mention.

Boerne finished the year at 15-19-1 overall and went 4-6 in district to finish fourth in 27-4A. They opened the playoffs against the No. 4 state-ranked Cuero team that entered the postseason with a record of 28-1-1.

The Lady Gobblers won the series in two games, 11-5 and 12-10, to end Boerne’s season.
