Boerne Little Leaguers headed to state tournament

The Boerne Little League Majors All-Stars (ages 10-12) won the Sectional tournament that was held recently in Ingram.

Boerne went undefeated and run-ruled every opponent on its way to winning the title and also qualified for this year’s state tournament that started Friday in Abilene.

Boerne played Brownsville Friday night to open the state tourney.

At Sectionals, Boerne sacked San Angelo 17-0, flew past Eagle Pass 15-3, mauled McAllister Park 12-0 and then faced San Angelo again and won 18-2.

Team members are Gray Collins, Cooper Hastings, Kaleb Christ, Dylan Burke, Jett Matthews, Aiden Munoz, Kole Newson, Caden Guffey, Julian Hurst, Doc Mogford, Gage Steubing and Ben Burkhart.

Coaches are Justin Newson, Jonathan Collins and Bert Munoz.
