Boerne High opened District 28-4A girls basketball action Friday night at Bandera and beat the Lady Bulldogs, 78-25.

The Lady Greyhounds start district at 1-0 and improve to 22-3 overall.

Boerne is home Tuesday to host Davenport as they continue league play.

BHS had three in double digits after Averi Aaron netted 21 points, Jordyn Lemm tallied 15 and Jamie Ruede finished with 14 points.

Abby Smith dropped in 6 points, Liz Fox recorded 5, Leila Johnson, Savannah Salinas, Karson Kurtz and Sushanna Cobb all scored 4 points apiece and Hannah Rocchio hit a free throw.

Aaron made it a double-double and almost had a triple-double after she recorded 14 rebounds and 8 steals to go with her 21 points, Ruede dished out 6 assists and had 3 steals, while Lemm also came up with 3 steals.
