Comfort had eight baseball players named all-district in 5-3A, including one player who earned a superlative award.
Sophomore infielder Mason Matt was named the District 5-3A Newcomer of the Year. First-team all-district selections for Comfort were senior outfielder Mason West, senior outfielder Micah Nye, senior infielder Luke Bohnert and junior outfielder Tucker Rust.
Sophomore pitcher Zach Jones and junior catcher Noah Bohnert both landed on the second team, while junior infielder Brooks Davis was the only Bobcat named honorable mention.
The Bobcats were led by first-year Comfort coach Bryan Bishop, a former assistant at Boerne High.
Bishop helped the Bobcat baseball bunch finish the season with an overall record of 17-9. They went 6-4 in district for third place and were knocked out in the first round of the 3A playoffs by Tuscola Jim Ned.
