Champion scored a goal just three minutes into Tuesday’s match with Jefferson and that would be all the offense the Chargers would need but they added nine more goals and reached double digits.

The Lady Chargers defeated the Mustangs 10-0 at historic Alamo Stadium in Tuesday’s second-round match. Champion improves to 17-3-3 overall and faces Liberty Hill in the third round at San Marcos, 7 p.m.

Champion knocked in 5 goals in each half and outshot Jefferson 37-3, including shots on goal, 25-3.

Mack Arendall recorded a hat trick and scored 3 goals, Nevaeh Garris and Vivian Garza finished with 2 goals each, while Skyleigh Arnold, Regan Alt and Gaby Dellocono all registered 1 goal apiece.

Olivia Farias, Alt and Hannah Arnall all tallied 1 assist in the match.

Lola Vaughan and Audrey Riordan were both in goal and Vaughan had 2 saves and Riordan 1.
