BOERNE CONCERT BAND presents a free Independence Day Concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Boerne Plaza, 100 N. Main St. The Boerne Jazz Band perform before the Concert band takes the stage. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some jazz and patriotic selections to begin the Independence Day celebrations.

5TH ANNUAL FLAG Run 5K benefiting the Boerne Fire Department, gets under way at 8 a.m. at Boerne Main Plaza. Enjoy the patriotic run around Boerne, followed by tacos and drinks. There is a 1-mile walk option. Runners will receive a T-shirt and finisher medals. Runners are asked to run with a flag. Sign up at flagrun5k.com. 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION at America Reclaimed. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket and come enjoy games, drink specials on wine, craft beers and frozen sangria beginning at 11 a.m., and live music at America Reclaimed at 810 Avenue A in Comfort. FOURTH OF JULY Celebration by the City of Fair Oaks Ranch beginning at 6 p.m., the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club, 7286 Dietz Elkhorn Road. Festivities will include music, food, fireworks and a laser light display beginning at 9 p.m. INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS by Boerne Parks and Recreation, beginning at 9 p.m. at the Boerne City Park. It is requested that no tents or glass be brought to the location. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for viewing. A food truck will be available, but snacks and beverages can also be packed in.
