A Converse man is free on bond after a mid-June arrest for possession of 6 ½ pounds of marijuana.
Boerne Police stopped Oscar Martinez, 34, at 12:41 a.m. June 12 at mile marker 542 on Interstate 10. Once they pulled over Martinez’s white 2006 Pontiac Vibe, officers found 6.63 pounds of marijuana stored in six bags, as well as two jars containing a green powder suspected of being hashish, inside.
Additionally, police found drug paraphernalia including two baggies of “unknown gummies.” Police also confiscated an iPhone from the vehicle.
Martinez was booked into the Kendall County Detention Center on a charge of possession of marijuana between 5-50 pounds and the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance 4-400 grams.
Martinez was released June 13 on a $20,000 bond.
