The Boerne boys soccer team made a long drive to Pleasanton and then made short work of the Eagles during Tuesday’s second-round playoff tilt.
Pleasanton hosted the match but they were no match for the Greyhounds team that won, 5-0.
BHS improves to 22-2-1 overall and plays Austin Eastside Early College on Friday in Seguin, 7 p.m.
Landon Murphy knocked in 2 goals, while Jake Herman, Bear Kelly and Sam Theiss all recorded 1 goal apiece.
All 5 goals were assisted by 5 different players after Theiss, Joe Ballenger, Noah LeMaster, Jake Herman and Juan Castro finished with 1 assist each.
Boerne coach Michael Strong called it an “interesting game with the wind” that was gusting near 20 miles per hour at times.
