Seven Lady Chargers named all-district in softball

Seven Boerne Champion softball players were recently named all-district as voted upon by the coaches in District 26-5A.

Junior Abby Brehmer was a first-team selection and freshman Torin Tucker was also a first-team pick.

Sophomore Mylie Parker was voted to the second team, while junior Lilly Ritchie was also a second-team selection.

Three other Lady Chargers landed on the honorable-mention squad. Senior Madison Coker, senior Alison Kory and senior Dakota Salazar were all named HM.

Champion finished the year with a record of 12-13-2 and went 6-8 in district.

The Chargers went into the final stretch of their district season with a chance at a playoff spot but didn’t make the postseason after they were sixth in the final 26-5A standings.
