Boerne Champion competed at the Mules Relays and had several strong performances as they get closer to the district meet.

The Lady Chargers took 1st in girls varsity with 142 points and the varsity boys were 6th with 47 points.

Top 6 finishers earned team points.

RESULTS: Varsity Boys

Arlis Adickes placed 5th in the 100 with an 11.43, Oliver Winkenhower was 4th in the 200 in 23.31, Ryan Nereson finished 6th in the 1600 after clocking in at 4:42.92 and Nereson was 5th in the 3200 with a time of 10:23.

Champion’s 4x100 relay of Corbin Mitchell, Arlis Adickes, Alex Rodriguez and Jackson Liebau was 4th with a 44.24 and the 4x200 of Liebau, Adickes, Rodriguez and Mitchell teamed up again and came in 3rd in 1:31.89.

In field events, Brooks Jones and Luke Rossi went 2-3 in the pole vault after Jones cleared 13-6 and Rossi went 13-0, while Riley Wampler tossed the shot put 43-5 for 4th.

Also, Ephraim Tonn- Bourg competed in the 100 and 400 wheel chair events.

Varsity Girls Madison Meinke placed

Madison Meinke placed 3rd in the 100 dash with a time of 13.05, while in the 400 Riley Burkey finished 2nd after recording a 1:00.02.

Kate Williams took 1st in the 1600 with a 5:21.26 and Grace Flores placed 4th with a 5:35.70, while Williams also won the 3200 in a time of 11:38.71 and Kynley Albright came in 3rd after posting an 11:55.30.

Addison Hankins won the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.75 and Ainsley Rosenow came in 5th at 17.01,

Hankins also captured 1st in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.26 and Meghan Huerta was one spot back in 2nd after running a 49.26.

Champion’s 4x100 of Madison Meinke, Addison Hankins, Anna Giles and Riley Burkey came in 2nd in 50.22, the 4x200 of Ava Godoy, Finley Shanley, Reagan Burkey and Madison Meinke placed 4th in 1:50.66 and the 4x400 of Lyle Rideout, Meghan Huerta, Reagan Burkey and Riley Burkey took 2nd with a 4:07.46.

Riley Burkey won the high jump after she cleared 5-2 and Ainsley Rosenow was 4th at 5-0, Anna Giles won the long jump with a leap of 17-04.5 and Burkey was 5th in the long jump at 16-07.

Kaylee Crank placed 2nd in the pole vault after she cleared 11-0 and Hailee Goodwin finished 4th in the shot with a toss of 33.00-50.

Geneva girls

Geneva’s Isabella Godoy won the 800-meter race with a time of 2:19.56.
