A teen wanted for aggravated robbery out of San Antinio sits in the Kendall County Detention Center Tuesday after his weekend apprehension at Boerne City Lake by Boerne police.
According to a June 25 release from city officials, Julian Reyna, 18, was part of a group of four individuals contacted about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the lake by police for possession of alcohol, a prohibited substance at the city-owned recreational site.
While Boerne officers were talking to the group, Reyna began to run from the officers, the release states. A police officer pursued and apprehended Reyna a short distance away.
During the chase, the officer sustained injuries to his leg and knee. The officer was checked by EMS at the scene and medi- cal staff at Methodist ER before being able to go home and recover.
It was later determined that Reyna was wanted by Bexar County for aggravated robbery. Officers also found Reyna in possession of THC.
In addition to the robbery charge, Reyna faces possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram, evading arrest or detention, resisting arrest, search or transport, assault of a public servant and failure to ID or intent to give false information.
As of noon Tuesday, he remained in the county detention center with a combined $75,000 bond.
