The Champion tennis competed in the Kemah Invitational tournament where there were 32 teams represented in two different divisions.

The Chargers competed in the Championship division and played against some of the top teams in the state from Dallas, Houston and Austin areas.

“This was by far the toughest tournament we have played in several years,” Chargers coach Joey Cantu said. “Many of these players are playing at the state level in both 6A and 5A. This was a good warmup leading up to our district tournament this weekend.”

District will be Thursday and Friday at Northside tennis center.

These players all won 4 out of 5 matches and had good results from last weekend.

Amber Lewis placed 2nd in girls singles.

Maddox Wilfong and Sophia Raimondo placed 9th in Mixed Doubles.

Avi Gallegos won consolation in girls singles.
