JUNE 22

BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring an instrument and play along or just come to Bluegrass Jams, a free event, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural at 102 City Park Road.

MOONDANCE OUTDOOR CONCERT Series: Come out to a Moondance concert featuring Trey Gonzalez, at Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly outdoor concert series supporting local musicians. Bring chairs, picnic blankets, cushions, beer, food and ice chests. A food truck will also be on site. Tickets: $15 per person; 12 years old and under are free.

MUSIC IN THE Cave: Summer Solstice. Cave Without A Name, 325 Kreutzberg Road, is hosting another musical event, featuring Rudi Harst and the Rudiments, who will perform a variety of acoustic, world-beat music styles. Tickets are $35 at cavewithoutaname.com, or $40 at the door.

WEEKLY DAY CAMPS at The Cibolo during “A Quest at the Cibolo.” For children between 5 and 12 years old, the week-long sessions include Nature Camp, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Art Camp, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Each week will focus on a different aspect at The Cibolo; they’ll join teams, play games, do STEM activities, hike, learn archery, sing camp songs and more, all while exploring nature. THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. for Positivity with a Purpose Coaching, at the Chamber’s boardroom, 121 S. Main St.

SWEET TREATS BY Frost Bank: Come by the Frost Bank Center in Boerne, 1300 S. Main St. From 2-4 p.m. to beat the heat and grab something sweet. This event is free and is open to the public.

MOVE IN THE Park by Boerne Parks and Recreation: Come out to a family- friendly screening of the movie “Miracle.” The movie will begin at sundown, but come early for some pre-movie fun starting at 7 p.m. Bring blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy

OAK WILT AND Drought Stress workshop from 9-10:30 a.m. the Herff House, 33 Herff Road. The workshop will be led by Erin Davis, a specialist with the Texas A&M Forest Service. Attendees will learn how to identify oak wilt and drought stress during the summer and receive expert advice for treatment, monitoring and tree care. This event has reached capacity. STORYTIME WITH MS. Constance at the Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road. The storytime will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m., this week featuring a camping story. BOERNE CONCERT BAND presents a free Independence Day Concert at 6:30 p.m. at Main Plaza, 100 N. Main St. Before the Concert Band, the Boerne Jazz Band will be featured. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and enjoy some jazz and patriotic selections to begin the Independence Day celebrations.

FIFTH ANNUAL FLAG Run 5K benefiting the Boerne Fire Department. Enjoy this patriotic run July 4 around Boerne, followed by tacos and drinks. There also will be a 1-mile walk option. Runners will receive a T-shirt and finisher medal, and are asked to run with a flag. Sign up at flagrun5k.com.
