Two local athletes compete at Nike Outdoor Nationals in middle school division

Two Boerne ISD athletes, representing the Hill Country Comets Track and Field Team, competed at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon recently.

The duo competed in the middle school shot put competition and both placed in the top six.

Boerne Middle School South’s Blake Stehling tossed the shot put 53-3.75 for second place and Boerne Middle School North’s Ryan Naylor came in sixth at the event with a throw of 46-1.25.

Both earned All-American honors by placing in the top 6.
