LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. MAY 29

7:55 a.m., 1500 block of S. Main Street — An 18-wheeler was reported to have lost its axle and two rear wheels. The vehicle was able to move off the roadway and the driver waited for mechanical assistance.

11:02 a.m., 1300 block of S, Main Street —A male was reported to be sitting on the parking lot ground, in between two parked vehicles.

1:19 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street — An employee reported a male in store custody for attempting to shoplift.

2:50 p.m., 100 block of Whisper Way — A caller reported two pit bulls had killed her cat. The caller was concerned about the dogs getting near children.

MAY 30

1:26 a.m., mile marker 532 W. Interstate 10 — A caller reported an 18-wheeler crashed into the center median of the interstate. Law enforcement came to the location and handled the situation.

11:49 a.m., 100 block of Plant Avenue — A caller reported fraudulent activity on a bank account.

2:28 p.m., on Shooting Club Road — A caller reported a case of identity theft via a computer pop up.

5:00 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street — A employee reported a juvenile had been detained for stealing. The store didn’t want to press charges but wanted a criminal trespass warning issued.

MAY 31

10:53 a.m., 200 block of E. Kronkosky Street — Law enforcement reported hearing a loud boom in the area. The city’s Utilities Department was contacted after it was discovered a squirrel had become acquainted with a transformer.

1:52 p.m., 100 block of Esser Road — A male was detained and taken into custody after a probable cause search.

5:09 p.m., 300 block of Highland Drive — A caller reported a child found a clip of hollow point bullets at the complex.

7:48 p.m., 200 block of S. Main Street — A customer was reported to be intoxicated and refusing to leave the location.

11:49 p.m., 100 block of Francis Avenue — A caller reported an SUV in front of the location with its hazard lights on and flashing its headlights. Law enforcement came to the location and initially found the vehicle unoccupied before detaining someone.

June 1 

7:52 a.m., 1600 block of River Road — A manager reported two children were in the area at around 2 a.m. that morning. 

8:05 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road — A caller reported a male who he suspected of being on drugs. The male was apparently “walking like a zombie.” 

5:32 p.m., 100 block of Brunswick Drive — A caller reported finding a phone and someone’s underwear behind a vehicle. The caller had spoken to the driver and found that neither item belonged to them. 

5:49 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road — A caller reported a pedestrian was having a difficult time making his way around. The caller said the male kept walking into things. 

June 2 

12:06 p.m., 600 block of Oak Park Drive — A caller reported a driver hit his vehicle that was parked on the side of the road, deploying the air bags. There was additional damage done to the road. 

12:25 p.m., 100 block of Kassel Drive — A caller was concerned about mail possibly being stolen. 

1:37 p.m., 200 block of Bentwood Drive — A landlord reported a tenant came out yelling at him as workers were cutting down a tree that had fallen. 

5:29 p.m., 100 block of Richter Avenue — A caller reported her neighbor’s dog had been aggressively lunging at her dog through their fence. The neighbor had let the dog out and it had attacked the caller’s dog. 

7:26 p.m., 100 block of Crosspoint Road — A caller reported someone who was selling drugs out of his apartment.  

 June 3 

6:27 a.m., at Hosack/School Street — A caller reported a male who was walking in the middle of the road. The caller suspected the male may be intoxicated. 

8:14 a.m., 700 block of River Road — A caller reported that she had left her apartment due to an abusive situation. When the caller returned a few days later, her items were gone. 

11:09 a.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street — A father was concerned about a male who was loitering near his daughter’s place of employment. 

2:16 p.m., 900 block of N. Main Street — An employee reported someone called them the previous day, telling an employee that they (the person making the call) needed to get money out of the safe. 

June 4 

12:56 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road — A caller reported her neighbor was banging on the caller’s door harassing her, despite her asking them to leave. 

2:00 a.m., mile marker 545 E. I-10 — A caller’s vehicle rolled over on its side and the airbags were deployed, trapping the driver in her vehicle. A field sobriety test was administered to the female; she was placed in law enforcement custody while she received medical attention. 

3:19 p.m., on Regent/I-10 access road — A caller reported a granddaughter was being followed by another vehicle. The caller said the vehicle had gone to the caller’s residence before beginning to follow her vehicle. 

4:29 p.m., 1400 block of S. Main Street — A caller reported her wallet had been stolen from the location the previous week.

MAY 27

There was criminal mischief reported at the 7000 block of Terra Manor. Law enforcement investigated the location and found everything was secure.

An ambulance call was made at 7000 block of Fair Oaks Parkway for a woman who fainted.

Another ambulance call was reported for a female at 29000 block of Tivoli Way. The female was transported to a hospital.

Law enforcement was alerted to a suspicious circumstance at the 9000 block of Craigs Gate. They came to the location and found everything was OK

MAY 28

An animal call was made for an injured deer at the 28000 block of Royal Ascot Drive. Animal Control attempted to make contact with the deer but it ran away.

Another animal control call was for an injured possum at Falls Terrace. The possum was dispatched and the carcass was removed from the location.

A citizen in the 30000 block of Fairway Ash was requesting information about coyotes.

A bird got lodged in a resident’s air vent at the 29000 block of Millstone Ridge. Dispatch referred the resident to a pest control company.

MAY 29

A reckless driver was reported near Fair Oaks Parkway at Dietz Elkhorn Road. The officer was unable to locate the driver.

A male at the 39000 block of Elkhorn accidentally shot himself. He was transported to the Boerne Emergency Room.

A juvenile driving a golf cart, in violation of city ordinances, was reported in the 29000 block of Summit Ridge. The juvenile couldn’t be located.

A loose dog was roaming in the 8000 block of Rolling Acres Trail. The dog was located and safely returned home.

MAY 30

Law enforcement assisted with an improperly delivered package at the 8000 block of Irving Hill.

Officers attempted to help a driver with a flat at the 7000 block of Dietz Elkhorn.

A theft was reported at the 31000 block of Wild Oak Hill.

There was an instance of loitering/ soliciting reported at the 7000 block of Valley Pointe. A male was reported to be going door to door, selling pest control services. Law enforcement was unable to locate the male.

A dead duck in the 8000 block of Fairway Green was reported to animal control. The body was removed from the location.

MAY 31

A fire alarm went off in the 30000 block of Setterfeld Circle for a carbon monoxide warning. The situation was investigated and everything was found to be in order.

Two more residential alarms were sounded, at the 8000 block of Percheron Circle and the 8000 block of Windmill Circle.

Someone reported an injured deer at the area of Rocking Horse Lane and Royal Ascot. Officers came to the area and did not find an injured deer.

A residential alarm went off at the 8000 block of Windmill Circle. Law enforcement contacted the owners and found everything secure.
