Events over the next few days will bring a joyous end to the high school careers of more than 950 area students as Boerne, Comfort and Geneva School seniors participate in graduation ceremonies.

Dr. Kristin Craft will preside over her first graduation ceremony as Boerne Independent School District superintendent Thursday, when 507 Boerne Champion High School seniors cross the stage at Boerne Stadium.

On Friday, Craft will see another 317 seniors graduate when Boerne High School’s seniors take part in their commencement ceremony.

“I am honored to participate in my first BISD graduation ceremony,” Superintendent Craft said. “From my first day in the district, I have met so many impressive students. They excel in the classroom, are well-spoken, care for their community, and have clear plans for their future. It has been an honor to spend the second semester learning from our senior class.”

She said she and the board of trustees are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2024 in the days ahead.

“We also thank the many individuals who made a difference in the lives of our graduates, from Pre-K to today,” Craft added.

Both Boerne ISD graduations begin at 8 p.m. at the stadium. Gates open at 6:45 p.m. as school officials advise attendees to arrive early to secure select seating and a parking spot. There will be a fireworks display to cap both BISD ceremonies.

Comfort High School’s 84 graduating seniors will take part in ceremonies Friday beginning at 8 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium. This will also be Dr. Yvonne Munoz’s first graduation ceremony as Comfort ISD’s superintendent.

Saturday will see 47 Geneva School of Boerne seniors take part in their commencement ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. at the school.
