BISD selects Rhodes Pruin as chief HR officer

BOERNE — The Boerne Independent School District named Jill Rhodes Pruin as its new chief human resources officer. Rhodes Pruin’s appointment was approved by BISD trustees at their May 13 meeting.

Rhodes Pruin joins Boerne ISD after spending nearly eight years in San Antonio ISD, most recently as deputy chief of human capital management. In this role, she led all aspects of the department in collaboration with the chief of human capital management, including strategic staffing initiatives, career fairs and recruitment events, human capital budget initiatives and more.

She has accumulated 21 years of education experience as a teacher, school administrator and central office leader, and has served in several district, regional and state leadership roles. While at SAISD, Rhodes Pruin’s previous role included coordinating training for campus and district leaders regarding instructional initiatives, professional development training, implementation of the assistant principal leadership learning teams, among others.

Prior to joining SAISD, Rhodes Pruin served as a leadership development specialist at Education Service Center Region 20. She was responsible for the successful rollout and implementation of the Texas Teacher (TTESS) and Principal (TPESS) Evaluation and Support Systems for over 50 school districts.

Rhodes Pruin received a bachelor’s degree in international business from Texas State University and earned her master’s degree in business administration while working as a systems analyst for USAA.

After becoming a mom, Rhodes Pruin transitioned into education, completing her undergraduate studies in secondary education at Midwestern State University and earning her master’s in education administration from Lamar University.

She and her husband, Grant, have six children, Seth, Blake, Kassidy, Julia, Caleb and Olivia, and a five-yearold grandson, Jagger.
