Champion has five named all-district in boys basketball

Boerne Champion had five basketball players named all-district as voted upon by the 26-5A coaches.

Senior Charlie Georgelos and senior Quinn Grable were named to the first team.

Senior Briggs Jones was a second- team selection and senior Mason Wyatt and junior Baeden Burdick were both honorable mention.

The Chargers had a great year and went 31-6 overall. They finished 12-2 in district for second behind district champ Veterans Memorial.

Champion defeated Cedar Park in the first round, 51-33, and then beat Alamo Heights in the second round, 40-36, at Taylor Field House.

The Chargers faced district foe Wagner in the third round at Littleton and were defeated by the Thunderbirds, 52-49.
