The Geneva School of Boerne had several athletes advance out of regionals to this year’s TAPPS state track and field meet.
At regionals, the Eagles had two girls compete in four events, while the boys team had four compete in three events and in the end.
The top four finishers at regionals advanced to state and Geneva had one boy and one girl make it after Brady Chandler and Grace Detterick both qualified.

Boys
Brady Chandler qualified for state after he cleared 13-6 in the pole vault for second place.
Stephen Syamken was entered in two throwing events and was seventh in the discus with a throw of 119-04 and Syamken came in eighth in the shot put after a toss of 38-00.75.
Griffin Miller finished eighth in the discus after he flung the discus 107-3.
Girls
Grace Detterick also qualified for state after she was fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:29.85. Detterick also placed seventh in the 1600 by running a 6:06.17.
Hailey Kirchner competed in two throwing events and finished 5th in the shot with a throw of 29-10.75 and Kirchner was 6th in the discus with a toss of 87-02.
