Three Boerne Independent School District elementary schools have earned the distinction of being named National Showcase Schools.
BISD’s Curington, Fair Oaks Ranch and Herff elementary schools have been selected by The Flippen Group as Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools for the current 2023-24 year.
Each year, National Showcase Schools undergo a meticulous selection process, evaluating essential performance indicators, collecting campus data, and seeking feedback from both staff and students. The outcomes reflect the successful integration of the Capturing Kids’ Hearts Process, showcasing the unique culture and climate of each campus.
Boerne Elementary first opened its doors in 1976 and was named Curington Elementary in 1986. Curington has been named a National Showcase School four years in a row.
Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary, which has now been named a National Showcase School six years in a row, first opened in 1995 and serves students who reside in parts of Kendall, Comal and Bexar counties.
Herff is one of BISD’s newest schools, having opened in 2019. This is Herff’s second straight year being named a National Showcase School.
