THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies at: 11:30 a.m. for Rivers Edge Counseling + Wellness, 908 S. Main St.; and at 1:30 p.m. for Napa Oaks Dental, 27650 W I-10. BOERNE AREA DEMOCRATS monthly meeting takes upstairs at the Longhorn Café, 369 S. Esser Road, and will begin at noon. The speaker will be Dr. Merrie Fox, candidate for Texas State Senate District 25. The event is already sold out. BOERNE MARKET DAYS return for the first time in May, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday on Main Plaza. Spend a day browsing the market; a variety of bargains to be found such as jewelry, plants, art, handcrafts, collectibles, antiques and more. Make a day of it by visiting the many downtown boutiques, galleries and restaurants for a unique hill country experience. OLD JAIL MUSEUM tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kendall County Historic Jail, 208 E. San Antonio Ave. Constructed in 1887, it served for a century as the county jail. The Friends of the Kendall County Historic Jail group has painstakingly restored the space, bringing it back to life as a one-of-a-kind museum. BLUEGRASS JAM: BRING your instrument and play along or just come from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to listen to the bluegrass jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural, 102 City Park Road in Boerne. The concert is free and open to the public. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, as the event is outdoors. MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR: Join us for a history tour of Boerne City Park, featuring The Agricultural. Tour attendees will get a brief overview on the park’s development, followed by a tour of The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center. Meet at 10 a.m. in the parking lot next to the swimming pool. BOERNE BOCK WALK: Take a stroll through the breweries of Boerne with their annual Boerne Bock Walk. Each brewery will have their own Maibock-style beer on tap. The walk starts at noon at Dodging Duck, then proceeds to Cibolo Creek Brewing Co., followed by Free Roam Brewing Co., and ends at Hamby’s first -year anniversary party.
