Hulett wins individual state title as Geneva golf teams compete at state

The TAPPS 4A state golf tournament was held in Glen Rose this year and both Geneva School of Boerne varsity teams competed at the event.

One Geneva golfer returned to Boerne with a gold medal after Jace Hulett won the individual state title for the second straight season.

Hulett’s score was a personal and tournament best after he shot rounds of 64 and 66 for a two-day total of 130.

Overall, the Geneva boys were 5th and the girls team finished 7th.

Senior Suzi Nilsson led the girls team and finished 5th place individually and carded rounds of 85 and 83 for a 168 to earn all-state honors.

Boys team members are Jace Hulett, Jack Harden, Win Crawford, Kyler Parnell and Wyatt Bruss.

Girls team members are Suzi Nilsson, Ella Sorrells, Grace Doan, Kate Freisenhahn and Peylin Dennis.
