LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT December 25
3:47 a.m., 200 block Lohmann - A woman said someone beat her niece up, and she suspected alcohol was involved. She said this was the second time this has happened with the woman living with her niece. When first responders arrived, the niece declined EMS services but said the woman hit her with a glass cup. An individual was arrested, but it’s unclear who.
9:34 a.m., 1 Main Plaza - Someone reported “Cousin Eddie” at main plaza, describing him as a man in a short, white robe carrying a hose and yelling at people on the street.
6:52 pm., 211 S. Main St. - A man’s F-150 was stolen when he went into the store with his truck still running. Officers couldn’t locate the vehicle, but they put out a BOLO and notified Bexar County.
7:36 p.m., 150 Medical Dr. - Animal control was called to pick up a dog and five cats after someone found the resident left their door open, and the apartment smelled like narcotics.
Officers also conducted 14 security checks, made 14 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked one false alarm, one animal call and two reckless drivers.
December 26
2:56 a.m., 100 block N. Wagon Wheel Dr. - A woman’s husband and her cousin started to physical fight in the front yard after drinking.
2:25 p.m., 1327 S. Main St. - A man began yelling at drive-through staff for allegedly giving him the wrong change before walking off toward Planet Fitness.
2:51 p.m., 1000 Diamond - A woman reported her ex-husband showed up at her front door when he was told he’s not allowed there. She was working on an emergency restraining order, but she wasn’t sure it had been served yet. He was arrested.
3:40 p.m., 123 Village Park - A couple residents in the area reported hearing a loud boom before power was lost at the apartment complex.
5:35 p.m., 100 block Second St. - Teenagers were running around Boerne with confetti poppers, yelling profanities and “Happy New Year.”
7:36 p.m., 621 W. Bandera Rd. - A woman driving a Mercedes G Wagon cut in front of three cars in line. When another woman went to let her know she wasn’t happy about it, the Mercedes driver looked at her phone and told her “I feel sorry for what’s going to happen to you later.”
Officers also conducted 14 security checks, made 17 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked three false alarms, two non-injury accidents and one animal call.
December 27
9:51 a.m., 540 MM I-10 W. - A woman reported a flatbed truck with a generator in the back struck a barrier and was leaving the location, leaving a lot of debris in the road.
3:41 p.m., 451 N. Main St. - The homeless man previously caught shacking up in the library smokehouse was back on the property. He had previously been told to stay off the property.
4:56 p.m., Hampton Place and Interstate 10- A man with a shaved head had his head down on the steering wheel of his Dodge Challenger, facing the interstate. Officers arrived, and a positive K9 alert occurred.
Officers also conduced 21 security checks, made 16 traffic stops, assisted the public 19 times and worked four false alarms, two non-injury accidents, one animal call and five reckless drivers.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
December 25 1:08 a.m., 100 block Paradise Path - A woman complained about music from two houses on either side of her block. Deputies spoke to the residents who agreed to turn the music down.
6:38 p.m., 700 block FM 3351 N. - Santa’s sleigh may have stopped in Kendall County, as someone reported a red sleigh was broken down on the state highway.
6:10 p.m., School and N. Main streets - A couple visiting family in town got lost while taking a walk. They flagged a deputy down and got directions back to the house they were staying in.
9:13 p.m., 43 Hwy 87 N. - A homeless woman pushing a grocery cart was getting unruly with employees, saying things like, “If you want to kill me, kill me.” She agreed to leave the location “for the evening.”
9:44 p.m., 500 block Kendall Parkway - A man was upset about fireworks being shot off in the area, but deputies let him know it was legal to do so.
Deputies also made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public 12 times and worked one false alarm and one animal call.
December 26
11:50 a.m., 942 N. Main St. - A man reported a 20- to 30-year-old woman was crying in a car, saying she wanted to be “above ground” but “someone dug a hole.” She was transported to the emergency room.
7:05 p.m., 531 MM I-10 W. - An 18-wheeler was swerving in and out of lanes, cutting off vehicles and driving in between lanes. A city corporal spoke with the driver.
8:12 p.m., 400 block Upper Cibolo Creek Rd. - A dog was howling at the moon. Well, a neighbor reported it’d been happening for over 24 hours, so it may have been more than the moon.
Deputies also made 16 traffic stops, assisted the public eight times, removed a traffic hazard and worked four false alarms, two animal calls and one reckless driver.
December 27
12:05 a.m., Hwy 46 and Diamond Ridge - A 40-year-old woman reported full-body pain after a roll-over accident, but she was breathing and conscious when first responders arrived. Medics began transporting her to the hospital, btu the San Antonio Police Department issued a “sudden death report” for her.
5:28 a.m., 60 block Kasten Rd. - A mother reported her 13-year-old daughter stabbed her husband in the arm with a BBQ fork. The daughter was picked up by officers, and the husband was examined by medics.
8:49 a.m., 100 block Idlewilde Blvd. - A woman reported losing her shotgun while driving from her ranch on Idlewilde.
10:03 a.m., 100 block Little Hill - Dispatch received a 911 call from a small child because “Arlo was not sharing his toys.” Dispatchers asked to speak to a parent, and the line disconnected when the child went to give the phone to their mother.
2:02 p.m., 1211 FM 1376- The owner of Sisterdale Bar found his employee was stealing through surveillance footage.
6:29 p.m., 200 block Sixth St. - A woman wanted animal control to remove rats form her oven. Deputies told her how to set mouse traps.
7:53 p.m., 100 block Ten West Dr. - A woman initially just reported a man lying a ditch for unknown reasons. But she soon realized he had crashed a vehicle, and he told her he had been drinking. He was arrested.
Deputies also made eight traffic stops, assisted the public 12 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked three false alarms, one non-injury accident, three animal calls and two reckless drivers.
