COMFORT — The cast of the Comfort Little Theater is ready to raise the curtain on its 91st production. “The Eclipse Was Fake! Or You Don’t Know Jack” takes the stage April 26-27 and May 3-4 at the Waring Fire Hall, 205 Avenue C in Waring.
The night is geared toward “adult humor” — sometimes borders on the risqué — with a local flavor; think PG-17.
“While we may not be professionals, we do give it our all and take great pride in giving back to our community,” a press release stated.
This season, the Comfort Little Theater will include literary moments, a visit from to the Kuntry Kurl Salon, the latest installment of The Savage Safari, spending time with the Waring Fishermen, and a presentation from the Imperial Nipponese Consumer Watchdogs of the Nagano Prefecture.
Set-ups will be sold by Waring Area Community Association with beer available through donation. Food and snacks will be available for purchase from the Comfort High School Travel Club.
Tickets go on sale at the door beginning at 6 p.m.: $5 for adults ($10 for children and $50 for crying babies “and yes, we’re serious!”).
Seating begins at 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-save basis. The show starts at 7 p.m.
Come out and help support your local community while having a great time. Funds raised are filtered back into the community to help local charities, community groups and scholarships. Check out the group’s Facebook page at “The Comfort Little Theater.” — Julie Gaines.
