Early voting begins Monday for Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch residents with roads, council and board trustees on the ballots.
Three Boerne City Council incumbents filed for re-election to the two-year terms they have served, each drawing an opponent in the May 4 election.
Meanwhile, three seats on the Boerne Independent School District school board are on the ballot, each a three-year term.
One incumbent faces two opponents in his bid for re-election, while the other two seats have two candidates each, vying to replace trustees who chose not to run for another term.
In Fair Oaks Ranch, a general obligation bond of $16 million seeks reconstruction of four major heavily traveled thoroughfares, while a second item seeks a continuation of funding for the city’s street maintenance program.
Then Boerne Star offers its Voters Guide for Boerne ISD and City Council candidates in today’s issue. Specific questions were asked of each candidate with attached word limits for their responses.
All candidates responded. A brief introduction of each candidate and their answers are found in today’s Star, which hopes to better acquaint Boerne voters with those they will elect.
