Chandler sets new school mark in pole vault as Geneva preps for district track and field meet

Prior to its district meet held this week, the Geneva School of Boerne was at the Don Hoover Invitational at Antonian.

Varsity Boys

In boys action, Brady Chandler cleared 13-0 in the pole vault to earn gold and also set a new school record in the process.

Noah Brunsvold, Reid Wilson and Reid Aderholt all competed in the 100, while Aderholt, Wilson, Brunsvold and Jon Michael Raimondo all raced in the 200.

Chris Oliver raced in the 400, Carter Doan ran in the 800, Braden Davis and Samuel Crews both competed in the 1600 while Davis and Crews ran in the 3200.

The 4x100 relay came in 7th in 48.07, while Stephen Syamken and Griffin Miller were 7th and 8th in the discus with throws of 120 and 119. Greg Gallagher also competed in the discus.

Varsity Girls

At the Antonian meet, Adelina Vela, Amelia Morgan Zoe Briggs and Francesca Dacy all competed in the 100 dash, while Vela and Briggs also ran in the 200 and placed in the top 10 after Vela posted a 29.89 and Briggs was 10th at 29.98.

Grace Detterick won the 800 in 2:27 and was 5th in the 3200, while the 4x100 relay came in 5th in a time of 55.78.

Hailey Kirchner placed 5th in the discus with a toss of 85-1 and Malyn Arnold and Adeline Vela both competed.

Kirchner finished 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 31-6 and Vela was 9th in 25-5.
