WIMBERLEY — The Boerne High boys track and field team ended a long drought last week at the 27-4A meet after the boys won the district title for the first time since 2008.

The BHS boys then went out and won their Area meet this week. The top four from district head to area and top four from area are at regionals set for next weekend in Kingsville.

RESULTS (Top 6) Varsity Boys

The Boerne boys rolled to 181 points to win the district title, followed by Wimberley (163), Fredericksburg (112), Davenport (95), Navarro (37), Bandera (24) and Canyon Lake (8).

William Freeman and Charlie Stahl went 1-2 in the 100 after Freeman ran a 10.74 and Stahl posted a 10.86, while Michael Igbo was 6th in 11.33.

Stahl won the 200 after recording a 22.11, while Woody Goen took 1st in the 400 with a time of 50.26 and was 4th in the 400 with a 51.45.

Barrett Crofut finished 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:00.60 and Tayson Farar was 6th in 2:02.

Crofut won the 1600 after running a 4:35.53, Aaron Garcia came in 4th in 4:35.84 and Carsten Bain was 5th in 4:37.

Bain and Garcia finished 2-3 in the 3200 after Bain ran a 9:55 and Garcia posted a 10:00, while Jackson Temple came in 6th in 10:21.

McCoy Bruce won both hurdle events after Bruce captured 1st in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.07. and was 1st in the 300 hurdles in 40.07.

Boerne’s 4x100 of Woody Goen, Michael Igbo, William Freeman and Charlie Stahl won their race with a time of 42.24, the 4x200 of Wyatt Watts, Charlie Stahl, William Freeman and Michael Igbo also came in 1st with a time of 1:29.28.

Woody Goen and Michael Igbo finished 2nd and 3rd in the long jump after Goen went 20-09 and Igbo posted a 20-08.

Keagan Fischer placed 2nd in the discus with a toss of 123-03 and Will Traylor was one spot back in 3rd at 122-10, while Logan Schram took 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 44-11.25 and Fischer was 4th at 43-10.75.

Varsity Girls

The Lady Hounds placed fourth with 83 points behind Fredericksburg (150), while Davenport (117) and Wimberley (117) tied for second. Behind Boerne was Canyon Lake (78), Bandera (68) and Navarro (5).

Bella Pettet finished 3rd in the 100 after running a 12.76, Savannah Seibert came in 4th in the 200 with a time of 26.30 and Seibert was 3rd in the 400 after running a 59.08.

Eleanor Davis came in 4th in the 1600 after recording a 5:29 and Davis was 4th in the 3200 with a time of 11:53.

Prisca Igbo placed 4th in the 100 hurdles after clocking in at 16.45 and Igbo was 5th in the 300 hurdles with a 48.94.

Boerne’s 4x100 was 4th in 50.72 and the 4x400 placed 7th in 4:19.

Kendall Lemm won the high jump after she cleared 5-8, Savannah Seibert took 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 16-11.25 and Bella Pettet finished 2nd in the triple jump after she went 36-06.

Landon Wade placed 5th in the pole vault after she cleared 8-6 and Samantha Sardo was 6th in the event at 8-0.

Ella Schram was 3rd in the discus with a throw of 103-09 and Averi Aaron finished one spot back in 4th with a mark of 93-11. Schram also scored points in the shot put after she finished 3rd with a mark of 34-03.75.
